Roger was a senior staff member at the Minnesota Institute of Public Health where he was the Coordinator of Program Development and Training.  In this capacity Roger has served as Prevention Specialist for a variety of projects.  Roger retired from the Minnesota Institute of Public Health in 2007.

Roger has been involved in the substance abuse field in a variety of roles over the past 32 years including: Coordinator of Health/Drug Education for the Minnesota Department of Education; Minnesota State Drug Abuse Prevention Director on the staff of Governor Al Quie; Director of Program Development and Training for Hazelden Health Promotion Services. He has been on the faculty of Rutgers University Center for Alcohol Studies for the past 20 years.  He has co-authored several publications related to ATOD issues and gambling.
