From Binge to Blackout: A Mother and Son Struggle with Teen Drinking - Community Presentation

Tonka CARES and the Minnetonka community invite you to meet the Volkmanns, authors of “From Binge to Blackout: A Mother and Son Struggle with Teen Drinking,” on Tuesday, February 28.  

Meet the Mom – an informal Q&A – Tuesday, Feb 28, 9:30-11 a.m. and 1:30-3:00 p.m., District Service Center, Community Room, 5621 County Road 101, Minnetonka. Chris Volkmann will take questions (and sign her book) in an informal session.

“An informal Q&A is often a great help for parents who wish to discuss the parental side of youth alcohol abuse. Since I have been down that road and am not particularly judgmental, hopefully I can allow for open discussion of the youth drinking culture and inspire parents to think about drinking in a new light.”

Evening presentation with Chris and Toren Volkmann – 7-8:30 p.m., MHS Arts Center on 7, 18301 Highway 7 West, Minnetonka. “A Mother and Son Share Their Story on Teen Drinking.” No charge. Continuing Education credit available.
