Dear colleagues,

In Minnesota, we have an important and valuable resource that is provided to us every three years-the Minnesota Student Survey. The survey information is available for local communities and the state as a whole. It provides a profile of how well our young people are doing, as well as some of the problems they are facing. The survey data of course needs to be interpreted locally and translated into actual community programming. This issue of IMPACT highlights a number of communities that are doing just that.

Special thanks to all who helped with the planning and content of this issue of IMPACT.

Jean Funk
MPRC Project Director
