6th Annual Minnesota Chemical Health Week

The 6th Annual Minnesota Chemical Health Week, November 18-24, 1996 is a concerted effort to heighten awareness of problems related to alcohol, tobacco, and other drug use during a focused time period. Alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse ravages the lives of tens of thousands of Minnesotans every year and it's imperative that we reach as many Minnesotans as possible. Chemical Health awareness helps in the prevention of problems before they can start. The theme for this week is ALCOHOL, TOBACCO AND OTHER DRUG ABUSE COSTS: PREVENTION SAVES! The goals of this effort are:

  • To bring together community members who are interested in preventing alcohol and other drug abuse.
  • To create awareness to the widespread costs of alcohol, tobacco, and other drug abuse and the benefits of prevention to your community.

  • Below are specific days observed during Minnesota Chemical Health Week. There are three master Idea Packets and a calendar available at no cost. To order the Education, Community and/or Faith Community packets or calendar, please call the Minnesota Prevention Resource Center at 612-427-5310 or 1-800-247-1303.
