Prevention Certification
Become a CPP...it's as easy as ABC!
Certified Prevention Professional (CPP) Requirements:
- Completion of SAPS course.
- Signed prevention code of ethics.
- 40 hours of continuing education every 3 years for recertification.
Certified Prevention Professional Advanced (CPPA) Requirements:
- Completion of SAPS course (not required if your are grandparented in)
- 40 hours of continuing education within the last 5 years which includes (not required if grandparented in):
- 12 hours of drug addiction education.
- 6 hours in prevention ethics.
- The remaining 22 hours in ATOD prevention.
- Signed prevention code of ethics.
- 2,000 hours of paid ATOD prevention work experience.
- Pass the IC & RC prevention written exam.
- 40 hours of continuing education every 3 years for recertification.
