Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist TrainingThis event is full. Registration closed.Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training (SAPST)April 21-23, 29-30, 2010 This training is open to anyone working in alcohol, tobacco, or other drug prevention in communities within the 7-county metro area who would like to learn more about how to serve in culturally diverse communities. ObjectivesA professionally trained workforce is extremely important to the continuing improvement of substance abuse prevention services in Minnesota. The Substance Abuse Prevention Specialist Training (SAPST) curriculum is designed to provide up-to-date, evidence-based information to the prevention field. This newly revised curriculum has the most current information available on evidence-based prevention practices and programs. LocationAugustana Lutheran Church Sponsored byThe Minnesota Prevention Resource Center (MPRC), Brought to you in part by CSAP's Central CAPT and the Minnesota Department of Human Services, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Division. RegistrationRegistration Fee: $300.00 Continental Breakfast and lunch will be provided. If you should need to cancel your registration for this five-day training, please do so at least one-week prior to the training. After this date, as we will have absorbed related costs, you will still be responsible for a $75 administration fee and will not receive a refund. The remaining $225 may be used for an upcoming SAPST training. However, the entire five-day registration may be transferred to another person from your organization who may attend in your place.
